Another new Husky? Mickens commits to Washington (Seattle Times)

Washington's late recruiting surge continued tonight as receiver **Jaydon
Mickens** of Dorsey High in Los Angeles committed to the Huskies during a
ceremony at an LA restaurant Wednesday night.

The 5-8, 170-pounder is rated a 4-star recruit by Rivals.com and the No. 11
receiver in the country, and is a 4-star recruit and No. 45 WR in the country
by Scout.com.

Mickens is good friends with two current Huskies who also played at Dorsey ---
linebacker **Matthew Lyons** and receiver **Marvin Hall**, who signed a year
ago but sat out due to academic issues and will be a true freshman in 2012.

Mickens committed to USC during his junior year at Dorsey. But he decommitted
in December saying at the time that "I didn't get the impression they were 100
percent'' committed to him.

He visited UW the week of the Apple Cup and also later visited Oklahoma State,
which was regarded by many as the favorite to win his services. But reports
out of Oklahoma earlier today indicated that Mickens was changing his mind,
and he confirmed that tonight.
